The development of shopping tourism has contributed significantly to the local and national economy, but its rapid growth also presents sustainability challenges, such as overconsumption and environmental impacts. This study aims to explore the role of digital technology in supporting the sustainability of shopping tourism. The method used is a qualitative research through a literature review of various scientific articles that discuss the impact of digital technology on sustainable shopping tourism. The results of the study indicate that digital technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and big data analytics, can improve operational efficiency and tourist experience. In addition, the effective use of digital tools can support sustainable practices in shopping tourism, although there is a lack of research on the interaction between digital technology and sustainability in this sector. This study emphasizes the importance of aligning digital advancements with sustainability goals to create a responsible shopping tourism ecosystem.
