A Study on Social Solidarity in Multicultural Communities

This research aims to understand social solidarity in multicultural communities in the midst of increasingly complex social dynamics. In different parts of the world, multicultural communities are often faced with the challenge of maintaining harmony between individuals with different cultural, religious, and ethnic backgrounds. Social solidarity is an important element in maintaining social integration and peace in heterogeneous societies. However, research on how social solidarity is formed and develops in multicultural communities is still very limited. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the factors that influence social solidarity in these diverse communities. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with literature study. This study examines various theories and previous research on social solidarity, multiculturalism, and intercultural relations. The main sources of data are obtained from journals, books, articles, and reports relevant to this topic. This approach allows the author to delve deeper into the social, psychological, and cultural aspects that influence the formation of solidarity in diverse societies. The results of the study show that factors such as intercultural communication, recognition of differences, and inclusive policies play a key role in strengthening social solidarity. In addition, the existence of shared experiences in overcoming social and economic challenges also increases the sense of togetherness in multicultural communities. This research provides new insights into the importance of building social solidarity as a foundation for creating harmony and equality in a multicultural society.
